Do you charge for diagnostics?
Our standard diagnostics are completely free, as long as you select our standard repair option (turnaround up to 4 business days—excludes Sundays and holidays). If you choose our VIP Express diagnostics (1 business day), we still provide a free estimate, but a diagnostic fee applies.
How long will it take to repair my device?
For software-only issues, repairs usually take 1 business day. If parts are required, expect 4–5 business days (depending on availability), though we carry some inventory to help expedite repairs.
What kinds of devices and brands do you repair?
We service Windows and Apple , Chromebook computers, laptops, tablets (Dell, HP, Acer, Lenovo, ASUS, MSI, Samsung, Apple, etc.)
Do Macs need antivirus software?
Yes, Macs can and do get infected. We recommend ESET with an included VPN, especially helpful for customers who travel frequently.
Can I bring my device without an appointment?
Yes! We welcome walk‑ins anytime. You can also use our online express check‑in form to save time if you prefer in‑person drop‑off

Will I lose my data when my device is repaired?
As long as the main storage drive is healthy, no data will be lost during service. Before any work is performed, we always inform the client of the repair plan. If your data isn’t accessible or the drive isn’t detectable, we’ll let you know before proceeding with any repair. We also follow a strict confidentiality policy, we do not browse, access, or interact with your personal files. Your data remains private and protected throughout the entire repair process.
Why does it sometimes take longer to perform diagnostics or repairs?
At Hi‑Tek Solutions, we prioritize accuracy and quality over speed. Every device we service is reviewed by two technicians. One performs the initial work, and another double-checks it for accuracy and completeness. While this process can take a bit more time, it ensures your device is repaired thoroughly, professionally, and in good faith. We may not be the fastest, but we stand behind our work and strive to get it right.
