Hi-Tek Solutions – Refund & Returns Policy

Hi-Tek Solutions is committed to providing quality products and services to our customers. Please review our Refund & Returns Policy carefully, as it outlines your rights and responsibilities when purchasing from us. By purchasing from Hi-Tek Solutions, you agree to the following terms.


1. Warranty Policy

  • Standard Hardware Warranty: All hardware purchased from Hi-Tek Solutions comes with a 90-day limited hardware warranty unless otherwise specified on your invoice.
  • Custom Build PCs: All Hi-Tek Solutions Build PCs (custom-built by us) include a 2-year limited hardware warranty.
  • Refurbished Devices: All refurbished devices come with a 90-day hardware warranty unless otherwise specified on your invoice.

2. Warranty Exclusions & Voided Warranty

The following conditions are not covered under any warranty and will immediately void any remaining warranty period:

  • Liquid damage of any kind (including spills, moisture, humidity, or corrosion).
  • Evidence of insect or pest infestation (including but not limited to ants, cockroaches, or other pests).
  • Physical damage, including cracks, dents, bent pins, or other visible impact damage.
  • Burn marks, melted components, or signs of electrical damage caused by power surges or improper use.
  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, unauthorized repairs, or modifications.

Any product showing visible signs of the above conditions will be denied a warranty claim, refund, or exchange.


3. Digital Goods

  • Final Sale Policy: All sales of digital goods (including but not limited to software, licenses, activation keys, and downloadable content) are final. No returns, refunds, or exchanges will be issued once the product is purchased and/or activated, regardless of usage status.

4. Hardware Returns

  • Return Period: Customers have 7 business days from the date of purchase to return hardware products, including open-box and refurbished parts, for a refund or exchange.
  • Condition of Return: Items must be:
    • In original, unused condition.
    • Returned with all original retail packaging, accessories, manuals, and proof of purchase.
  • Restocking Fee: Hi-Tek Solutions reserves the right to charge up to a 20% restocking fee for opened or used items, or if returned packaging/accessories are incomplete.
  • Non-Returnable Items: Certain items are non-returnable for hygiene, safety, or licensing reasons, including but not limited to:
    • Digital software (see Section 3 above)
    • Activated licenses or subscriptions
    • Special-order or custom-configured hardware (excluding Hi-Tek Solutions Build PCs under warranty claims)

5. Storage Media Returns & Data Privacy

If you return any storage media (including but not limited to hard drives, SSDs, USB flash drives, SD cards, or other removable storage devices):

  • No Liability for Data: Hi-Tek Solutions is not responsible for any personal, confidential, or proprietary information left on returned devices.
  • Data Wipe Service: We offer a data wipe service for an additional fee to permanently erase your data before processing a return.
  • Customer Responsibility: We highly recommend that you erase all personal data before returning any storage device. By returning such a device, you acknowledge and accept that Hi-Tek Solutions cannot be held accountable for any data that remains.

6. Refund Process

  • Approval Process: Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email confirming we have received your returned item and notifying you of approval or rejection of your refund.
  • Processing Time: Approved refunds will be processed within 7–14 business days from the approval date.
  • Payment Method: Refunds will be issued to the original method of payment only.
  • Delayed or Missing Refunds: If you have not received your refund after the stated time frame:
    • First, check with your bank or credit card provider, as posting times may vary.

7. Additional Terms

  • Right to Refuse Returns: Hi-Tek Solutions reserves the right to refuse returns that do not meet the conditions stated in this policy.
  • Proof of Purchase Required: All returns must be accompanied by a valid receipt, invoice, or proof of purchase from Hi-Tek Solutions.
  • Shipping Costs: Shipping costs for returns are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to an error or defective product covered under warranty. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
  • Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by California law, Hi-Tek Solutions shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages related to products purchased, returned, or used.
